The motor-driven ottoman device 1 includes a drive shaft 7 one end of which is turnably connected to the front end of a seat, and the support frame 9 so connected to the shaft 7 as to be linearly shiftable on the shaft 7 and shiftable between a housing position below the front end of the seat and a foot rest position in front of the seat. When the frame 9 stops in the housing position below the front end of the seat, the frame 9 and the shaft 7 are approximately vertically disposed. As the frame 9 shifts to the foot rest position in the front of the seat, the shaft 7 turns in a horizontal direction by the frame 9 linearly shifting on the shaft 7.
