Abstract:
To provide an outboard engine capable of realizing a large trim-in of an outboard engine main body.SOLUTION: An outboard engine 13 comprises an outboard engine body 16 with a built-in motor 15 and a bracket 18 with a tilt shaft 17. The bracket 18 is attached to the stern 12 of the hull 11 of a ship 10. The outboard engine body 16 is attached to the bracket 18 so as to enable a tilt-up ad a trim-in. A propeller shaft 21 is installed in the lower part 16b of the outboard engine body 16. The distance L1 from the tilt shaft 17 related to the vertical direction of the ship 10 to the upper end of the stern 12 is more than the distance L2 from the tilt shaft 17 related to the vertical direction of the ship 10 to the propeller 21 during the sailing of the ship 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
