To provide an outboard engine allowing the fine control of a throttle without several-time operation of a throttle lever even when a hull operator's seat and an outboard engine body are isolated from each other.
Both hull installation positions of a throttle operation part 81 such as the throttle lever and the outboard engine body storing an engine are isolated from each other on a hull so that an input to the throttle operation part, operated by a crew, is mechanically transmitted to the throttle valve 4 for the engine on the side of the outboard engine body in driving the throttle valve to be opened/closed. The engine in the outboard engine body has an electric air amount control valve 14 of a system different from the throttle valve for increasing/reducing the amount of air to be sucked into the engine and a control part including an actuator for controlling the opening of the air amount control valve. The control part of the air amount control valve 14 is provided with engine speed operation parts 44, 46 to which the crew can directly input an air increase/reduction signal.
