Abstract:
To provide an outboard engine capable of supplying water to an engine by a water pump during the sternway propulsion or stop of a hull and capable of suppressing an increase in the number of components and weight.
An outboard engine 10 includes a water pump 122 that is provided at a lower end of an input shaft 26, and right and left supply channels that connect the water pump 122 to a water jacket inlet 147 of an engine 22. The right and left supply channels are provided in such a manner as to surround a plurality of input shaft shift gears 62 provided in the input shaft 26. Additionally, cooling water taken in by the water pump 122 is guided to the water jacket inlet 147 via the right and left supply channels.
