Abstract:
To provide an outboard engine that has excellent exhaust efficiency while having a built-in catalyst device and that can be constituted in a small size.SOLUTION: An outboard engine (10) comprises a V-type engine (20) that has a left bank (BL) extended diagonally backward and leftward with respect to a crankshaft (21) extended in a vertical direction and a right bank (BR) extended diagonally backward and rightward. An intake system (18) is provided between the left bank and the right bank, and catalyst devices (62L and 62R) for exhaust emission control are arranged in the rear of cylinder heads (24L and 24R) of the left bank and the right bank, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
