Abstract:
To provide an outboard engine capable of easily adjusting a transom height.SOLUTION: An outboard engine 1 is attached to a transom board 6 of a ship 5. The outboard engine 1 comprises: a drive shaft housing 15 containing a drive shaft 14; a swivel bracket 17 supporting the drive shaft housing 15 rotatably around an axis and movably in an axial direction; a steering adjuster 36 attached to the swivel bracket 17; and a spacer 60 installed on the drive shaft housing 15 at a position adjacent to an axial end of the swivel bracket 17. The drive shaft housing 15 is restricted from moving in the axial direction with respect to the swivel bracket 17 with the spacer 60 attached to the drive shaft housing 15. A dimension from the swivel bracket 17 to a rotation axis of a propeller 42 is changed by changing the installing position of the spacer 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
