Abstract:
To provide an outboard motor and a marine vessel which can increase such an angle range that an outboard motor body is rotatable around a steering shaft while suppressing the increase in the size of the outboard motor.SOLUTION: In an outboard motor 100 (marine vessel 120), a steering mechanism 40 is configured to be switchable between a state where an outboard motor body 102 is made steerable within a first steering angle range A10 by rotating a pinion 42 by a hydraulic actuator 44 (first driving source), and a state where the outboard motor body 102 is made steerable within a second steering angle range A20 including at least an angle range different from the first steering angle range A10 by rotating the pinion 42 by an electric motor 45 (second driving source).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
