To effectively use a space inside cylinder head covers of two lines, in an outboard motor to which a V-type engine is mounted.
In this outboard motor, a four-stroke multi-cylinder V-type engine is mounted which comprises: a cylinder; a cylinder block forming a combustion chamber; a cylinder head; and the cylinder head covers 10A, 10B forming a cam chamber. The cylinder, the cylinder block, the cylinder head, cylinder head covers 10A, 10B are arrange in two lines to have a V-shape in a plan view. In this outboard motor, a breather chamber 26 communicating with a crankcase is formed as a cam chamber in one of lines of V bank, and is connected to an intake upstream side of a throttle valve, and an oil separating chamber 36 communicating with the crankcase is provided to a cam chamber arranged at the other line of the V bank. The cam chamber is connected to an intake downstream side of the throttle valve via a passage, and a crankcase ventilating control valve 50 (PCV valve) which opens to the intake downstream side is arranged to the passage.
