Abstract:
To provide an outboard motor that can sufficiently reduce intake noises.
The outboard motor 10 includes an air intake passage which can guide air to a throttle body, a drive belt 49 which drives an accessory 41 and the like of an engine 23, and a belt cover 55 which covers the drive belt 49. In addition, the air intake passage is provided with a silencer 77. The silencer 77 includes a body part 132 which is provided in the belt cover 55 and which forms a lower half chamber 135a of the silencer, and a cover part 133 which is provided in an engine cover 24 and which forms an upper half part 135b of the silencer chamber. Furthermore, the cover part 133 is detachably provided in the body part 132.
