Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the stagnation of suction of a lubricating oil by an oil pump, even if an outboard motor is inclined in a lateral direction.SOLUTION: An outboard motor 1 has an engine unit 3; a drive shaft housing 12 disposed on a lower side of the engine unit 3; and a swivel bracket 181 rotatably disposed on an outer periphery of the drive shaft housing 12. The engine unit 3 has a crank case 4 provided with an oil pan, and an oil pump 35 which sucks a lubricating oil stored in the oil pan and feeds the same to each portion. An oil suction port 513 of a first oil path 51 from the oil pan to the oil pump 35 is provided on a bottom portion on an inner peripheral side of the oil pan and on a straight line passing through a rotation axis to the drive shaft housing 12 of the swivel bracket 181 and extending in a fore-and-aft direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5B
