Abstract:
An outboard motor (1) includes an engine (5), an engine cover (21) with which the engine is covered, an intake pipe (48) disposed between an outer surface of the engine (5A) and an inner surface (21A) of the engine cover, and a battery (60). The engine includes a piston (31) that reciprocates rectilinearly and a crankshaft that rotates around a crankshaft axis (30A) extending in an up-down direction. The intake pipe is connected to a first outer surface of the engine (5A) along the crankshaft axis, and supplies air to the engine. The battery is disposed between a second outer surface of the engine (5G, 5B, 5C, 5D, 5E), which is different than the first outer surface (5A), and the inner surface (21A) of the engine cover (21).
