In the outdoor machine 1 for the air-conditioning apparatus, provided with a fan body having a plurality of moving blades situated at the periphery of a hub and driven by a motor; a heat exchanger; and compressor, a plurality of stationary vanes 4b distributed approximately radially from a center and at a position, where a specified clearance is kept on the downstream side, are situated at the internal part of an orifice positioned in the vicinity of the fan body. A plurality of grills 9 for joining the rear edge of the stationary vane 4b and the front edge of an adjoining stationary vane 4b are situated between the adjoining stationary vanes 4b. Since the moving blade is guarded by the grills 9 situated between the stationary vanes 4b, it is prevented from having a person's hand and the fingers enter a spot, where the moving blades are disposed, and safety of the air-conditioning device is improved. Furthermore, since the dynamic pressure of the moving blade can be recovered by the stationary vane 4b, hydrostatic pressure and hydrostatic pressure efficiency can be enhanced.
