Abstract:
This outdoor unit is provided with: a housing having an outside-air flow section (27) which is formed in the outside-air flow section body (27A) and which includes a vertically extending first separation section (27B), the housing also having a cover section (34) which closes the first separation section (27B); a heat exchanger (14) having a heat exchange section (41) which includes a second separation section (47) formed extending vertically at a position facing the first separation section (27B), the heat exchanger (14) also having a header section (42) disposed at the second separation section (47)so as to extend vertically; a top plate disposed at the upper ends of the outside-air flow section (27) and the heat exchange section (41) and having an opening formed therein; axial flow fans (18, 19) for discharging outside air to the outside; and a shield plate (23) which is disposed inward of the header section (42), has connected thereto the opposite ends of the second separation section (47), and extends downward from the lower surface of the top plate.
