To prevent the inside of an outer mirror casing from being visible through a boundary line by sticking a sprash preventing film on the back of a mirror body, and composing the sprash preventing film of a dark color film which is smaller than the mirror body and has such a size as the boundary line can be wholly covered.
In order to prevent a broken piece caused by the fracture of a mirror body 1 from scattering, a sprash preventing film 7 is usually provided on the door mirror of an automobile. The film is specified dark (for instance black) in a color and specified to have a size which is smaller than the mirror body 1, but can wholly cover a boundary line. In addition, in a door mirror whose back is provided with a film-shaped heater for evaporating a water drop adhering to the surface of the mirror body 1, its color and size may be specified by considering the film-shaped heater to be used as the sprash preventing film in common. Such formation prevents the inside of the door mirror casing from being transparently visible from the boundary line 6.
