Abstract:
To provide an outer rotor type motor that is simple in structure, compact in size and can be mostly stored in a wheel of a vehicle by devising an arrangement of an inverter using no complicated heat sink, and an electric vehicle having the same.SOLUTION: An outer rotor type motor includes: a hub shaft 11 that is a rotor shaft; a bearing support member 26 for supporting the hub shaft 11; a stator having an annular stator 21 provided coaxially with the hub shaft 11; a rotor having a rotor magnet 14 that is firmly fixed onto the bub shaft 11 and opposed to the stator on an outer peripheral side of the stator via a gap; and an inverter for driving the motor. The inverter is disposed in a space between an outer periphery of the bearing support member 26 and an inner periphery of the stator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
