To rotate a rotor of an outer rotor type rotating electric machine of the permanent magnet type at high speed.
The rotor of an outer rotor type rotating electric machine includes: a rotor rim 1 in roughly annular shape, which is structured to rotate around a rotating shaft, to extend in the direction of this rotating shaft, and to surround a roughly cylindrical stator 40; a plurality of rows 26 of mount parts, and a plurality of rows of permanent magnets 22. The plurality of rows 26 of mount parts are each structured with a plurality of mount part pieces 25 arrayed in the direction of the rotating shaft and spaced from each other in the circumferential direction of the inside circumferential surface of the rotor rim 1. The plurality of rows of permanent magnets 22 are structured with a plurality of permanent magnets 21 glued on the surface to the rotating shaft side of each mount part piece 25. Pressure plates 11, 12 are arranged at both ends in the direction of the rotating shaft of each row of mount part 26 and the rows of permanent magnets 22. Permanent magnet fixing means, which are fixed on the rotor rim 1, tighten the rows of mount parts 26 and the rows of permanent magnets 22 in the direction of the rotating shaft by tightening the pressure plates 11, 12 in the direction of facing each other.
