PURPOSE: To enable accurate color reproduction by painting out the inside of the contour of an image based upon outline font data with color data generated corresponding to specified color information.

CONSTITUTION: A graphic processor 5 when receiving a character code from a MPU 2 reads outline font data (OFD) out of a font memory 4, develops dots of an outline bus on a work memory 9, and further paints out the inside of the outline bus. After the font development processing, the OFD developed in dot units on the memory 9 and density data after color correction which are developed on a work memory 10 are red out and it is decided whether the OFD is 1 or not; when so, the density data after the color correction is developed on a buffer 7. When not, 0 is developed on the buffer 7 corresponding to the dots. After the development of the density data, printing processing based upon the color density data is carried out according to the output command from an MPU 2.
