Title:
OUTPUT CIRCUIT OF CONTROLLER PROVIDED WITH OVERCURRENT PROTECTIVE CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3864497
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable distinguishing an overcurrent state and a state where a field effect transistor is not turned on from each other.
SOLUTION: A first comparator 180, which detects dropping voltages generated at FETs(field effect transistors) 161 and 162, is provided and the grounding terminal of a comparator 180 is connected to the drains and sources of the FETs 161 and 162 via three diodes 188, 189, and 187 so as to generate a reference voltage by means of the grounding terminals. The dropping voltages at the FETs 161 and 162 are detected, by comparing the voltages at the source sides of the FETs 161 and 162 which are the nodes of the FETs 161 and 162 with the reference voltage. On the other hand, since the output terminal of the comparator 180 is connected to the base of a transistor 113 via a resistor 114, the transistor 113 is turned on and starts the detection of turning-on voltages across the drains and sources of the FETs 161 and 162, when the comparator 180 detects the dropping voltages at the FETs 161 and 162.
