Title:
OUTPUT CONTROL FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3284597
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an output control method for an internal combustion engine in which the deflection of the thermal distribution in an engine block can be prevented, securing the equal interval operation, and further the low fuel consumption operation is enabled.
CONSTITUTION: As for a five-cylinder four-cycle gasoline engine 1, fuel is supplied into a combustion chamber 5, and an ECU 14 permits one time of combustion in eight strokes, and a repose cylinder for setting the explosion in one cycle into repose in one time is successively shifted. Further, the system for jetting fuel directly into the combustion chamber 5 for the inside of an intake pipe 2 is adopted. Further, in the low load operation, the ECU 14 successively shifts the repose cylinder when the engine cooling water temperature allowable value is (110°C) or more and the inside of a catalytic converter 2 in an exhaust system is not in rich environment. Further, the ECU 14 successively shifts the repose cylinder, when a vehicle on which the engine is mounted increases the speed over the limit max. speed (180km/h).
