To avoid the vibration of a vehicle which is caused by the distortion of a power transmission means by a method wherein the output torque characteristics which can not be obtained by an internal combustion engine are made up by a motor.
The output torque controller of a vehicle has an engine 10 and a motor-generator 30 as drive sources. An ECU 60 determines a target output torque value from a throttle opening degree detected by a throttle sensor 44 and, further, an engine instructed output torque value which the engine 10 is made to output and a motor-generator instructed torque value which the motor-generator 30 is made to output. When both instructed torque values are determined, in order to make an actual output torque value outputted, a sudden increment of the output torque which can not be followed by the engine 10 is made up by the motor-generator 30.
