To suppress a harmonic component accompanied by changes in the output voltage, while suppressing the conversion loss at a converter, or the like, of a serial multiplex AC-DC conversion device.
A voltage command value input means 18 inputs a voltage command value Vr of the serial multiplex AC-DC conversion device 11, which is constituted with a plurality of the converters 12U1 to 12Wn for converting power being connected to three phases of the device in series thereto, respectively, and a converter voltage command value output means 19 outputs the voltage command values of the converters 12U1 to Wn of the phases so that each of which the sum of vectors of output voltages of the converters 12 of the phases becomes equal to the voltage command value Vr of the serial multiplex conversion device 11, on the basis of the voltage command value Vr of the serial multiplex conversion device 11 inputted by the voltage command value input means 18. A converter control means 21 controls the output voltages of the converters 12 of the phases via a gate control circuit 22, on the basis of voltage command values of the converters 12 from the converter voltage command value output means 19.
