To prevent liquid splash and adhesion of a beverage in a beverage container to fingers when breaking a sealing lid of the beverage container from an over cap.
An over cap 1 is fitted onto a beverage container 2, in which a beverage a is filled and an opening is sealed by a sealing lid 3, from the upper part of the sealing lid. A fitting portion 4 fitted to the opening of the beverage container is provided, a top plate 5 opposing the sealing lid is integrally formed with the fitting portion, a guide groove 9 guiding a cutting device of the sealing lid is formed along an outer circumstance of the top plate to have almost the same length with the half-circumference thereof, and a ruled line like hinge 10 is formed at the approximately center of the top plate so as to intersect both ends of the guide groove, and after the cutting device is guided along the guide groove and the sealing lid is cut by the cutting device, a press part 5a defined by the guide groove and the hinge is pressed down while having the hinge as a fulcrum, and thus, a cut part of the sealing lid is widened.
