Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an over current detecting device quickly detecting an over current flowing through a plasma display panel.
SOLUTION: A switching transistor TRs generates an output control signal by applying a positive bias voltage to its collector C, grounding its emitter E and operating according to the voltage applied to its base B. A voltage signal generation part 21 is respectively connected between the base of the switching transistor and a terminal of a first output voltage, and between the base and the terminal of a second output voltage, and fluctuates the bias voltage of the base according to the fluctuation of the first, second output voltages. A switching support part is connected between at least either one of the first, and second output terminals and the emitter of the switching transistor, and prevents the malfunction of the switching transistor by applying the lowered voltage to the emitter when at least either one of the first and second output voltages is lowered than a suitable rated voltage.
