Abstract:
To measure over-travel of a circuit breaker having a structure nut allowing direct measuring of the over-travel at a contact part.
In the switching operation of this circuit breaker, an in-contact rotation angle α3 for rotating a crossbar 11 is detected by two kinds of encoders while a contact 4 of a moving contact element 6 rotatably held on the crossbar is in contact with a fixed contact 2, and the over-travel is determined from a distance L from the rotation center of the crossbar 11 to the contact part and the rotation angle α3.
