To ensure light stability as well as to form an overcoat having high water resistance, scratch resistance and fingerprint resistance by drying under common drying conditions by incorporating a 1H-pyrazolo[1,5-b][1,2,4]triazole type magenta coupler into a magenta image layer.

This oercoating composition contains a water-insoluble polymer having 30°C or lower glass transition temperature (Tg) and containing 75-100 mass % monomer of the formula based on all the amount of all monomers. In the formula, X is selected from a group comprising Cl, F and CN, each Y is selected from a group comprising H, Cl, F, CN, CF3, etc. The overcoating composition is disposed on an image formed photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a substrate, and the emulsion layer contains a 1H-pyrazolo[1,5- b][1,2,4]triazole type magenta coupler.
