Abstract:
PURPOSE: To economically and safely protect a power supply and a load circuit from an overcurrent in an overcurrent protective circuit of a switching regulator.
CONSTITUTION: A switching regulator 9a, where an input DC source is converted to an AC by turning on and off an FET1 connected in series with a primary winding of a transformer T and such AC source is rectified and smoothed to provide a DC power source, connects a circuit element 2, which increases a voltage appearing across it with increase of a current flowing through it, between the source electrode of FET1 and the source power supply.
