Abstract:
To provide a general overcurrent protective device which can be corresponded to various kinds of load circuits.SOLUTION: An overcurrent protective device (1) is structured so as to protect a load circuit (3) from an overcurrent by providing the devise between the load circuit having an electric load (3a) and an electric wire (3b) electrically connected each other and a power supply (2). The overcurrent protective device comprises: a switching element (11) switching and controlling a flow state and disconnection of the load current flowing in the electric load from the power supply; a current detection unit (12) detecting the load current; a characteristic estimation unit (15) estimating heat characteristics of the electric wire on the basis of the load current detected by the current detection unit; and a control unit (10) outputting an overcurrent protection signal for disconnecting the load current for protecting the load circuit from the overcurrent to the switching element on the basis of the heat characteristic estimated by the characteristic estimation unit and the load current detected by the current detection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
