Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release restriction of a bimetal in an overcurrent tripping device that bundles the bimetal and a heat element, at the bundled portion.
SOLUTION: A compound clip 22 having two clips 23, 24 having mutually different widths connected into a body via a separation is provided, and the vicinity of the fixed end of the bimetal 2 is bound tightly by using the clip 23 with wider width in this compound clip 22, and substantially the central portion of the bimetal 2 is bound with the clip 24 less tightly than the fixed end by using the clip 24 with narrower width. At this loosely bound portion, a slip is allowed between this bimetal 2, a heating element and the clip 24. As a consequence, restriction due to the clip 24 is released at the central portion of the bimetal, where positional deviation from the heat element 4 becomes large when it is bent, the clip 24 to hinder the bend of the bimetal 2 to a less degree.
