PURPOSE: To reduce the weight of a rocker arm and facilitate manufacture thereof by disposing in parallel boss part of an intake and exhaust rocker arms between a pair of locating seats fixed to a rocker arm seat to sandwich a washer spring between boss parts and form an arm part of the rocker arm in the direction orthogonal to the rocker arm shaft.
CONSTITUTION: An intake valve 7 and exhaust valve 8 are provided on both left and right sides of a rocker arm shaft 5. Locating seats 7e, 8e are fixedly provided on the rocker arm shaft 5 between respective boss parts 7b, 8b of rocker arms 7a, 8a are disposed in parallel to journal the rocker arm shaft 5. A washer spring 11 used for a spring material 10 between the respective boss parts 7b, 8b to press both parts 7b, 8b against the locating seats 7e, 8e. Arm part 7m, 8m are provided orthogonally to the rocker arm shaft 5. Thus, the dimension of the respective arm parts is shortened and the weight of the rocker arm is reduced, and the respective arm parts are paralleled to each other to facilitate the manufacture thereof.
