Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the construction cost of a steel tower without requiring an increase of the strength of an electric cable supporter such as the steel tower by making the weight of an overhead power transmission line lightweight.

CONSTITUTION: Two layers of aluminum strands 2 having a round cross section are twisted on steel cores 1, and aluminum strands 3 having a fan-shaped cross section are twisted on the outer periphery to form an overhead power transmission line. A strand 3 of the outermost layer of the overhead power transmission line is protruded, and the protruded strand 4 is made of an organic material.
