Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a push rod to meet every requirement in terms of strength, the thermal expansion and the vibration in the push rod to be used in an engine made of aluminum alloy.
CONSTITUTION: In an overhead valve type engine 1 where a cylinder block 2 and a cylinder head 7 are made of aluminum alloy, and a valve 8 is pushed downward by a cam 12 arranged in the cylinder block 2 through the push rod 10 and the rocker arm 9, the push rod 10 is made of the damping alloy having the same coefficient of linear thermal expansion as that of the aluminum alloy.
