Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overlaid guide member of excellent wear resistance to a slip velocity in an extensive range, and a method for manufacturing the guide member at a low cost.
SOLUTION: In the overlaid guide member of excellent wear resistance having an overlaid layer containing, by volume, 30-60% W2C and NbC in total in a matrix formed of Co or Co-based alloy while satisfying the volumetric ratio W2C/NbC of 0.5-4, and a manufacturing method thereof, the overlaid layer is formed on a base metal by the plasma welding by overlaying mixed powder containing 30-60% W2C powder and NbC powder in total while satisfying the volumetric ratio W2C/NbC of 0.5-4, and the balance Co powder or Co-based alloy powder.
