Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an overlay for a conveyor system capable of fitting, removing and repairing easily and speedily without requiring a special tool or a special skill.
CONSTITUTION: This overlay 100 is used for a conveyor belt having plural spaced rods extending in the transverse direction. The overlay 100 is provided with plural members 102 in the longitudinal direction. The members 102 in the longitudinal direction have their end parts connected at vertex members 104, and form parts of opening alternately on opposite sides. On the belt, these parts allow one overlay to nest similar overlays immediately ahead and behind it. In addition the respective members 102 in the longitudinal direction have bottom surfaces. In these bottom surfaces, openings released downward are formed. These openings form supporting means 106, 108 for detachably engaging the overlays 100 to at least one rod of the conveyer belt under it in the form of snaps.
