Title:
OVERSHOT OF WIRE LINE SAMPLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3765091
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overshot for use with a wire line sampler which is easy to unlatch, when drilling the ground with a boring machine and sampling a sample core.
SOLUTION: A main shaft 44 resiliently energized via a cylinder body 43 and a compression coil spring 45 is placed within the first end of the latch-out ring 41 of an overshot 40. The first end of a latch case 42 is fitted into the end of the latch-out ring 41 and connected thereto by a spring pin 43a. When the main shaft 44 connected via an eye bolt 2 to a wire from above the ground is pulled to resist the compression coil spring 45, oil in a first oil chamber 1a flows into a second oil chamber 2a, moving the latch-out ring 41 to the right relative to the latch case 42, with the result that the left outer end of a latch 42a is pressed inward by a taper surface 41b to release a claw 42c.
