The overtube for the endoscope 2 is equipped with a tube main body 3 in which the endoscope 2 is freely interpolated, the group 4 provided to the base end of the tube main body 3, the mouthpiece 5 having a cylindrical part 51 in which the tube main body 3 is freely interpolated and the flange 52 provided to the base end of the cylindrical part 51, the hook 43 energized in a diametric direction by the energizing means 42 provided to the outer peripheral surface of the grip 4 and a protruded part extruded in the diametric direction and the locking part 53 provided the base end surface of the flange 52 and freely locked with the hook 43 in a state that the tube main body 3 is interpolated in the cylindrical part 51 of the mouthpiece 5. By pressing the energizing means 42 against the energizing force, the locking of the hook 43 with the locking part 53 is released.
