Abstract:
To provide an overvoltage protection circuit of a multi-gate semiconductor element.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an overvoltage protection circuit connected to a multi-gate semiconductor element which includes a pair of main terminals and in which a plurality of control terminal each for controlling a current flowing to the main terminal pair is connected in parallel. The overvoltage protection circuit comprises a plurality of diode groups in each of which a plurality of first diodes is connected in series in the same direction correspondingly to one or more control terminals. Each of cathode terminals of one diode group or cathode terminals in the plurality of diode groups is connected to a high voltage side terminal of the main terminal pair, and a plurality of second diodes corresponding to each of the control terminals is provided. Each of cathode terminals of the second diode is connected to each of the plurality of control terminals, and each of anode terminals of the second diode is connected commonly to the anode terminals in one diode group or connected respectively to the anode terminals in the plurality of diode groups.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
