Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxadiazolylated polymer usable as an electron transport material of an org. electroluminescent element by selecting a polymer having oxadiazole groups at the side chains.
SOLUTION: This polymer has repeating units represented by formula I (wherein R1 is an H, alkyl, alkoxy, cyano, dialkylamino, trialkylamino, optionally substd. phenyl, or halogen group; and ring A is an optionally substd. phenyl, diphenyl, naphthyl, or anthranyl group) and a number-average mol.wt. of 1,000-1,000,000 and is produced by polymerizing a monomer component contg. a vinyloxadiazole monomer represented by formula II (wherein R1 and A are each the same as in formula I).
