Abstract:
To provide a novel dinuclear metal complex in the reaction process accompanying the oxidation of a substrate (oxygenation as a typical reaction), a high performance oxidation catalyst comprising the metal complex as an active constituent, and to provide a method of producing an organic compound using such a catalyst.
The metal complex has a substituted or non-substituted aromatic ring condensed with an imidazole ring represented by 1,1-bis(N-methylbenzimidazolyl)-ethane or 1,1-bis(N-propylbnezimidazolyl)-butane.
