To provide an oxidation curing type silicone-modified vinyl copolymer capable of providing a tough coated film by oxidation curing and excellent in durability such as solvent resistance, water resistance, alkali resistance or weather resistance, and to provide one-pack type coating containing the copolymer as a resin component and excellent in handleability and to provide a method for producing the oxidation curing type silicone-modified vinyl copolymer.

The oxidation curing type silicone-modified vinyl copolymer is composed of a vinyl monomer having an oxidation polymerizable group, a polysiloxane-containing vinyl monomer and/or an alkoxysilyl group-containing vinyl monomer and other vinyl monomer copolymerizable with these monomers. The copolymer may be modified with an alkyd. The copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing each monomer.
