Abstract:

To provide an oxidative dehydrogenation catalyst of alkanes capable of activating alkanes at a relatively low temperature of about 300-450°C, reducing COx formed as a by-product and high in olefin selectivity.

The oxidative dehydrogenation catalyst of alkanes is obtained by supporting heteropoly acid or a salt thereof on titania. Olefins are produced by the oxidative dehydrogenation reaction of alkanes using this catalyst. Further, an oxygen-containing compound such as acetic acid, acrolein, acrylic acid or the like is also produced using this catalyst.
