Title:
OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTIVE ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01145878
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve reproducibility of uniform junction characteristics under the same manufacturing condition, by making the element of oxide superconductive material including two kinds selected from a specific group and by using the junction surface as the Josephson junction. CONSTITUTION:In ABa2Cu3O7-delta(delta>=0), 'A' consists of at least one of elements selected from a group of {Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu}. At least one of the junction surfaces of superconductive electrodes, which are made of oxide superconductive materials of two different combination of the elements and in contact with each other, are used for the Josephson junction. YBa2Cu3O7-delta(delta>=0) used as a first oxide superconductive material 1, and YbBa2Cu3O7-delta(delta>=0) used as a second oxide superconductive material 2 are formed on an SrTiO3 substrate used as a substrate 4 so that a pair of superconductive electrodes are made to be in contact with each other with the junction surface 3 therebetween. Strength of the Josephson junction can be regulated arbitrarily by selecting two kinds of oxide superconductive materials having different lattice constants.
