PURPOSE: To obtain an oxide superconductor having ≥100K critical temperature, containing neither Tl and Hg having extremely difficult handleability nor a rear earth element which is unevenly distributed in terms of resources and has a high purifying cost.
CONSTITUTION: This oxide superconductor is shown by the composition formula (Pb1-x-yMx(Al)y) (A2)2(A3) n-1CunO2n+3+x (0≤x≤0.6, 0≤y≤0.6, x+y≤0.6, (n) is an integer of ≥1, -0.6≤z≤0.5; M is Cu or Cd; A1, A2 and A3 are each at least one element of Ba, Sr and Ca) and has a crystal structure obtained by laminating a part comprising a rock salt structure with a laminated structure having an atomic layer with 0.5-1.5 number of oxygen atoms when the total number of Pb, M and Al atoms is 1 and an atomic layer with ≤1 oxygen atom based on one A2 atom as a basis to an endless layer structure part having a laminated structure of an atomic layer with 2 oxygen atoms based on one Cu atom and an atomic layer composed of only A3 atom.
