Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxide superconductor Josephson junction element which is formed of a needle-shaped oxide superconductor oriented in a or b axis direction and an oxide superconductor oriented in c-axis direction on the specified position of a substrate and is applicable to practical circuits.
SOLUTION: An element is formed of an oxide superconductor 3 oriented in c-axis direction against a substrate 1 and a needle-shaped oxide superconductor 4 oriented in a or b axis direction, and the both sides of the superconductor 4 are interposed with the super conductors 3, and then the crystal grain boundary between the superconductors 3 and 4 is formed of a weak connection part of the Josephson junction. In this case, the c-axis of the superconductor 4 is in a (100) direction of the substrate 1, and the superconductor 3 or in the growth (110) direction which is 45 degrees inclined with respect to the (010) direction.
