PURPOSE: To provide an oxygen generator capable of generating a large amount of oxygen, enabling easy installation and having high stability to surely prevent the falling of the vessel.
CONSTITUTION: An oxygen-generating composition capable of generating oxygen gas by reacting with water is placed in a vessel and the vessel is submerged in water or floated on water surface to generate oxygen gas in stable posture. The oxygen generator having the above structure is provided with a lower member 4 placed at the bottom of the vessel, having flat lower face and containing a channel to guide the generated oxygen gas, a gas-dispersing means 6 furnished with a gas-dispersing port to disperse the generated oxygen gas in water out of the vessel and a connection tube 5 to connect the guiding channel 7 of the lower member to the gas dispersion port.
