Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form a lens which is transparent and has high oxygen permeability by using a block copolymer consisting of respective segments having volume fractions and the coeffts. of oxygen permeability in prescribed relations.
CONSTITUTION: The oxygen permeable molding consists of the block copolymer expressed by the general formula A-B, A-B-A or B-A-B and the volumetric ratio of the segment B is 30-70%. The segment A and the segment B from a microdomain smaller than the wavelength of visible light. The coefft. of the oxygen permeability of the molding is set at 0.5-1 times (vaPa+vbPb) when the volumetric fractions of the segments A, B are respectively designated as va, vb and the coeffts. of oxygen permeability as Pa, Pb.
