Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault diagnosis device of an oxygen sensor capable of preventing from being erroneously judged as normal even when the device is in fault, the fault diagnosis device is for diagnosing a fault in a characteristic changing function of the oxygen sensor (Osensor) capable of changing output characteristics according to a current value to be applied.SOLUTION: A fault diagnosis device 1 of an oxygen sensor includes: a target current setting unit 52 for setting a target current value to be applied to an oxygen sensor 19R according to a target change quantity of an output characteristics of the oxygen sensor 19R; a target current change detection unit 53 for detecting whether the target current value is changed; a characteristic variable unit 511 for applying the current to the oxygen sensor 19R based on the target current value and changing the output characteristics of the oxygen sensor 19R; a fault diagnosis unit 512 for diagnosing whether the characteristic variable unit 511 is normal based on a deviation between the target current value and an actual current value; and a diagnosis result mask unit 54 for invalidating the diagnosis result by the fault diagnosis unit 512 during a period in which the target current value is not changed after the characteristic variable unit 511 is determined to be abnormal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
