Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish an evaluating and confirming method of the slow speed of oxygen transmissivity and an oxygen transmitting part by sealing an oxygen transmissivity measuring composition whose sol or solution having an indigoid pigment dispersed thereto has white or an opaque pale color when changed to a solid matter, and observing the change with the lapse of time of the pigment. SOLUTION: A composition 2 is solidified in a packaging container 1 having the composition 2 sealed therein, and allowed to stand in the atmospheric pressure or the like to observe the change with the lapse of time of the pigment of the composition 2. The slow speed of oxygen transmissivity of the material is evaluated by the change of color appearing on the whole surface, and when the pigment in the composition in the position P of a pinhole 4 or the position Q of a crack 5 is changed to bluish violet or blue, it can be specified and confirmed that the positions P, Q are oxygen transmitting parts. The composition 2 can be used for comparing the slow speed of oxygen transmissivity as the material of a packing container having oxygen barrier property and visually confirming a part reduced or deteriorated in oxygen barrier property of the container by use of the pigment discolored by oxidation of the oxygen penetrated from this part.
