Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an ozone decomposing filter having high ozone decomposing capacity by adding an ozone decomposing catalyst to a fiber composed of a polymer having a functional group showing the high reactivity with ozone.
CONSTITUTION: An ozone decomposing filter is composed of a fiber sheet formed from a fiber containing an ozone decomposing catalyst. The fiber is formed from a polymer having a functional group showing the high reactivity with ozone selected from a group consisting of -SH, =S, -NH2, =NH, -CN and -OH. As the fiber usable concretely, an acrylic fiber is suitable and, in this case, the ratio of acrylonitrile used in the polymer is pref. about 40% or more.
