Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ozone generating quantity control device capable of increasing NOx reduction rate under a transient state of an engine.SOLUTION: Some molar ratios in this invention are defined as follows. A ratio of a NOamount in respect to a NOx amount is defined as a molar ratio; a molar ratio of NOx suitable for reduction with a selective reduction type catalyst positioned at a subsequent stage of an ozone adding nozzle is defined as an optimum ratio; a molar ratio larger than the optimum ratio and equal to or less than 1 is defined as a maximum ratio; a molar ratio at a front stage of the ozone adding nozzle is defined as a front stage ratio; and a molar ratio at a subsequent stage of the ozone adding nozzle and at a front stage of the selective reduction type catalyst is defined as a subsequent stage ratio. The ozone generating quantity control device comprises a setting section for setting ozone quantity for increasing the subsequent stage ratio up to the maximum ratio as a target value that the ozone generator once generates; and a determination section for repeating a taking of the front stage ratio between the present time setting and the next time setting performed by the setting section and determining on the basis of the front stage ratio, the presence or non-presence of residual of ozone quantity for increasing the subsequent stage ratio up to the optimum ratio every time the front stage ratio is taken. The setting section performs the next time setting when the residual of the ozone quantity is not present after the present time setting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
