To prevent a decrease in electrolytic performance due to the adsorption or the precipitation of impurities contained in water on a solid polymer electrolytic membrane or a cathode of an ozone water producing device which produces ozone water from city water as a raw material, to prevent the elution of an anode metal into the ozone water and to safely treat hydrogen produced on the cathode.
The part of an anode 6 facing an ozone water producing cell 4 is covered with a microporous membrane body 13 which has water repelling property and gas permeability so that only water being in a vapor state can reach the anode 6 to prevent the adsorption of impurities. A cathode 7 is provided with a conductive reduction oxidation catalyst layer 10A which reduces a hydrogen ion produced on the anode 6 into hydrogen and simultaneously oxidizes the hydrogen into water. Further, the part of the cathode 7 facing the supply space 5 of air to treated is coated with a microporous membrane body 14 having water repelling property and gas permeability. Thereby, the hydrogen ion produced on the anode 6 is not exhausted as hydrogen but is exhausted as water vapor into the air supply space 5.
